The United States Department of Agriculture is expected to wheat production in Australia in 2009 to 23 million tons

Beijing Lin PETROFER message March 27: It is reported that the United States Department of Agriculture Counselor, 2009/10 (10 months to September the following year) Australian wheat production is estimated to be 23 million tons, higher than last year's 21.5 million tons.

Reported that the main reason for wheat sown area of wheat are expected from Australia last year's 12.5 million hectares to 12.9 million hectares.

2009/10 Australian domestic wheat consumption is estimated to be 7,000,000 tons, higher than last year 6,800,000 tons. Feed consumption is estimated to be one of four million tons, up from 3.8 million tons the previous year.

2009/10 Australian wheat exports is estimated to be 15.5 million tons, up from 14 million tons the previous year. Inventory at the end of wheat is estimated to be 6,000,000 tons, up from 5.4 million tons the previous year.

The report also is expected to 2009/10 Australia barley production is 7.6 million tons, higher than last year's 7,000,000 tons. Barley harvested area is estimated to be 4.4 million hectares, slightly lower than last year's 4.5 million hectares.

2009/10 Australian domestic consumption of barley is estimated to be 3.3 million tons, up from 3.2 million tons the previous year. Feed consumption is estimated to be one of 2,300,000 tons, 2,200,000 tons for the previous year.

Australian barley exports 2009/10 is estimated to be 4,400,000 tons, 3,900,000 tons for the previous year. At the end of inventory is expected to be 1.9 million tons, unchanged from the previous year.
