Fit & Fresh™ Mixers Recalled by MEDport LLC Due to Laceration Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product: Fit & Fresh™ Smooth Blend Mixers Units: About 54,500 Importer: MEDport LLC, of Providence, R.I. Hazard: While placing the cup on or off the base of the mixer, the mixer can be unexpectedly turned on, activating the blade. This can pose a serious laceration hazard to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: MEDport has received one report of finger lacerations that required medical treatment.
